Flowers, Flowers and more Flowers!

Happy Friday everyone!
Today I will be showing you Floral nails, which seems to be the only nail art I do now a days lol. I was browsing through Wondrously Polished's blog and found this tutorial and decided I wanted to try it out. Lindsey creates such amazing nail art all the time, and this looked so unique.

These are definitely not as good as Lindseys are but I still really liked them. Of course while I was stalking her blog I found a million different nail art looks I want to try lol.

Also, I'm less than 100 pageviews away from my giveaway!

Femme Fatale Lacquer - '80's Skull Party

Hey loves!
Well, I've mentioned my swap with Cynthia several times now and of course she had to include some of her babies (She makes Femme Fatale Lacquer). I was so excited to get my hands on these, I'm always dying for all her new creations, but sadly she doesn't normally ship to Canada.
I chose to swatch this over China Glaze - Light as Air.

This polish is insane, I love it. It has such a fun mix of glitters, and the neon colors really pop over a light base.
Must own all of the FFL Polishes!!!

You can purchase this polish and many more on Femme Fatale Lacquers shop!

Pretty and Polished Swatch Spam!

Hey lovelies!
I told you about some nail mail I received from Cynthia last week, well she included 4 very lovely Pretty and Polished polishes. I was so excited because these are my first full size P&P's!

First up is Candy Carnation. A soft pink cream with holographic sparkle throughout. I'm not a huge fan of pinks but this is the perfect shade, I love pastely polishes. It covered perfectly in 2 coats.

Delightful Daisy. A yellow cream base with a subtle shimmer throughout. I love this, but I hate that you can see streaks in it. Oh well, it's still a very pretty shade of yellow. It covered perfectly in 3 thin coats.

Lady Lavender. A medium purple cream with purple glitters in various shapes and sizes. I'm a huge fan of purples and this is a big hit for me, it's purple with purple.. who wouldn't love that? Again, it covered perfectly in 2 coats.

The Big Squeeze. A bright yellow base with yellow and white glitters in various sizes. This is so pretty in person, but it is VERY hard to photograph. I used 1 coat over a white base.

I'm starting to wonder why I don't own more P&P polishes lol. They're all so pretty and the formula is amazing. I might need to go order some more!

Candy Lacquer - Sweet Hearts

Hey lovelies!
I had a really nice birthday yesterday, thank you for all the birthday wishes. I'm not going to bore you by telling you everything I did, or what I got.. but I got to spend the day with my fiance and my family, and that's all I wanted.
I've recently become obsessed with Candy Lacquer, they are so unique and pretty and I just want them all lol. So of course when my friend Amanda was getting rid of this beautiful polish I knew I had to have it.

I love heart glitter, and this polish is just so pretty!

What kind of polishes are you a sucker for? Is it a certain brand, certain glitter, or color?

Happy Birthday To Meeeee! :)

Hey my loves!
I've been dreading this day for awhile now, my birthday is officially here. Now don't get me wrong, I love eating cake and I love getting birthday cards but no one wants to get a year older (I'm 25 now..).
I was going to opt out of birthday nails, but I couldn't help myself lol. I just went for something simple, a cupcake nail design (so cliche for birthdays, I know).
I used: Lime Crime - Lavendairy, China Glaze - White On White and Lush Lacquer - Clowning Around (I FINALLY HAVE THIS!)

I need to say thank you to Cynthia at Femme Fatale Lacquers for the amazing nail mail she got me. She included so many lemmings, and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have these 2 gorgeous polishes I used today!

I will be spending my birthday eating mass amounts of cupcakes, thanks to my fiance, having breakfast with my dad, and who knows what else I will get up to. I will take pictures of today and try to get a post up tomorrow! :)

Have a great Sunday everyone! xox

Bleeding Purple

Hey lovelies!
I took a few days off from posting so I decided to try to make it up by posting twice today lol.
This post is of some simple nail art I saw on Pinterest by Nailed It that I just fell in love with and had to try.
This was so easy to do, and I really loved the end result.
I used China Glaze - White On White, Essie - Go Ginza and China Glaze - Spontaneous as well as a striping brush.

Nailed It always has such amazing tutorials, she makes the prettiest designs and they are usually pretty easy to do! Check out the tutorial HERE.

I also can't believe that tomorrow is my birthday, and I STILL don't know what to do with my nails. I got a pretty amazing nail mail package this week and I might have to use some of the colors so look out for that tomorrow.

My Nail Care Routine

Hey loves!
I asked you all what you wanted to see on my blog and someone mentioned my nail care routine, so here it is!

Julep Hand Cream With SPF 30, Rainbow Honey Cuticle Stick (Vanilla Dreams), 365 Days Of Color Cuticle Oil (Easter Garden), Nail Tek Foundation Xtra, Essie Grow Faster, Seche Vite and a Crystal Nail File.
This is all stuff I will use on a daily basis to help maintain my nails.

I will start off by filing my nails with my Crystal nail file (Which I bought on Ebay). I love these files just because I can wash them and continue using them, and I got like 6 for $2 lol. I know a lot of people aren't fans of crystal files, but I love it. I always wash my hands after I file my nails, just to get rid of all the nail residue on my hands.

I apply a thin layer of Nail Tek Foundation Xtra. I normally wouldn't have bought this, but I got it for free at Sallys because I bought 2 China Glaze polishes. I'm still not entirely sure I like it, I'm finding my nail polish chips the next day when I use this, but it seems like my nails are growing faster while using this. I also find it weird that it dries to a matte finish (as you can see in the picture)

I apply a layer of Essie Grow Faster on top of the Nail Tek. I only recently started doing this because I find that grow faster works better as a base, and the 2 of them have really helped my nails grow (except for my poor pinky which just broke).

I stopped taking pictures at this point because my final step is applying moisturizer (Julep Hand Cream), and then cuticle oil/balm. I usually use 365 Days Of Color cuticle oil, or Rainbow Honeys cuticle stick, I find they both work amazingly. Just remember to not leave your cuticle stick on your purse on a hot day lol, one of mine got a little bit melty.

I hope this answered any questions you had, and I hope you enjoyed seeing a post that's a little bit different! :)

Happy Birthday Dad!

Hey everyone!
Today is my Dads birthday, so of course I had to do nails to celebrate. My dad is a very simple man, and only 1 thing came to mind when I was trying to decide what to do.. Toronto Maple Leafs. I know all you hockey fans probably laugh lol, but I'm from Toronto and we have to support our home team here and my dad is a DIE HARD fan. He is obsessed! His kitchen has custom counter tops in a shade of blue and he has Toronto Maple Leaf everything.

I decided to do a simple mani incorporating Blue and White. I used OPI - Swimsuit Nailed it, and China Glaze - White On White (All of this was free handed, no striping time or striping brush)

This mani is simple, not too girly and definitely suits my Dads TML obsession.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

Jindie Nails - Swoon

IT'S OFFICIALLY MY BIRTHDAY WEEK!
I might be a little excited that my birthday is on Sunday, which makes it my birthday week!
I decided to start the week off by showing Swoon by Jindie Nails, which I just got from my swap with Amanda. This is my very first polish by Jindie Nails, and it certainly won't be my last since I loved this one so much.
I swatched Swoon over 1 coat of Color Club - Take Me To Your Chateau.

I loveeee this polish, blues and neon glitters? Yes please!

I spent some time on the weekend organizing my polish so I decided to count some of my stash, I started with just my indies.. I counted 107 indie polishes lol. I couldn't believe it since a few months ago I only had maybe 30-40!

Pipe Dream Polish Review

Hey loves!
Today I will be showing you 3 unique polishes from Pipe Dream Polish.
I had great customer service with April, she was so nice and easy to talk to. Pipe Dream Polish sells such a wide range of polishes, but I chose 2 crellies and a neon topper to review.

First up, It's Not Sane. A bright yellow base packed with multicolored glitter and a hint of shimmer. I applied 2 coats and got full coverage. It applied perfectly, very nice and even.

Pink Elephants and Lemonade - A medium crelly base with pink and yellow glitters. I used 2 coats for full coverage again. I did have a few problems with the glitter in this polish not coming out very well. You can see in my photo that all the glitters got stuck to the bottle which made it difficult to get them out.

Like Totally - A clear base with neon green squares, neon pink squares, neon blue hexes and white hexes. I applied 1 coat over a pink base, and then "dabbed" a little more into areas that had no glitter. I think the clear base was a little bit thick in this, but overall I like the polish. It's also my first neon glitter topper!

Overall I had a good experience with Pipe Dream Polish.
You can purchase these and many more for $7.50 USD by visiting Pipe Dream Polish on Etsy

Question time

Hey!
I know I have been a bad blogger, I've said it a million times, but I've been trying to figure out ways to improve. I feel like I've been stuck in a rut, and I didn't know what to post anymore. Thankfully my fiancĂ© talked to me about this and we've come up with some ideas!
I think it's time I make an effort to post at least once a day now, and I want to start doing theme days.
What would you like to see? Tutorials (makeup or nails, or both?), makeup, reviews, nail art?
Please let me know. I would be nothing if it wasn't for my followers and your opinions mean a lot to me.
Thank you.

Rainbow Honey - Tessie

Hey!
Aren't we all glad it's the weekend? I love Saturdays because it means I get to spend the entire day with my fiance.. and today we will be building my new helmer (more like he will lol) and organizing my polish stash! I will try to take some pictures of the before and after, so you can see how messy I keep things now haha.

I have a swatch of Tessie from Rainbow Honey for you today. I'm sure you all know how much I love Rainbow Honey polishes, they're my favorite. So of course when they had The Summer Of 199X Collection for presale I had to buy some (and I grabbed a little something for a giveaway).

I love love love this. I love any purple polish, but I love the shade of purple on this one.
I also grabbed I Miss You, Magic Cake, and I got the monthly polish which was Mt. Moon. I really need to get my hands on the July monthly polish, my birth month and it has cute flower glitter!

You can purchase this and the rest of The Summer of 199X Collection at Rainbow Honey.

Thanks! xox

I'm sorry I haven't been posting very much lately. I've had a lot of days off at work and I've been trying to stay busy to make the best out of the summer.
I recently did a swap with Amanda and scored my very first Dollish Polish!

Triangle tips?

Hey lovelies!
I know I've been slacking, but today I have a simple nail art post for you. I don't really know what to call it, so I just went with triangle tips lol.
I used Essie - Madison Ave-Hue, Avenue Maintain, China Glaze - White On White, Liquid Leather and a striping brush.

Super easy to do, I'm pretty surprised my lines came out even too. Usually I need striping tape, but I was too lazy this time lol.

I realized my birthday is in less than 2 weeks and I have no clue what to do for my nails, ugh! HELP!

A quick update!

Hey everyone!
My giveaway ended today, and I will be picking a winner within the next few days.
I have been slacking on here lately because I have some personal/financial issues going on that I'm dealing with now. I haven't felt very inspired lately, but I spent a bit of today swatching and doing some "easy" nail art.
I will try to post tomorrow, and I will try to pick a winner ASAP.
Thanks for being patient! xox

My Canada Day nails!

Hey loves!
As most of you know I'm Canadian, so of course I did nails for Canada Day!
I meant to post this in the morning, but clearly I'm a little late haha.
Last year my Canada Day mani was filled with simple nail art (You can see that post HERE), but this year I decided to make it even simpler.
I used Color Club (can't think of the name, oops), Barielle - White Wedding and Different Dimension - Spencer.

I loved the out come, so simple but still shows my love for my country.
If you are Canadian as well then I hope you had/are having an awesome Canada Day. I spent the day relaxing with my fiance, and we had a nice big BBQ with bacon wrapped steaks. Yummy!
