Pastel Tips!

Hey everyone!
I feel like I'm such a slacker with my blog sometimes lol. Yesterday I spent 3/4 of my day doing absolutely nothing and then I realized I didn't have anything prepared for my blog haha.
So I decided I would do something super easy, some pastel tips using China Glaze - Aquadelic.

I feel like I never do tip manis so I really enjoyed this, and it took me less than 10 minutes (including my dry time).

Sick Lacquers Swatches and Review

Happy Friday everyone!
I have another review for you today, this one is for Sick Lacquers. Sick Lacquers is a mother and son team creating beautiful custom polishes.
First off, I had an issue with one of the bottles I received, it wouldn't open. My fiance and me both tried and had no luck and Sick Lacquers offered to replace the bottle for me and apologized. Thankfully we ended up getting the bottle open, using a pair of pliers, I'm unsure as to why it got stuck. The bottle did end up quite damaged in the process so I decided to hold the base polish for the pictures instead.
Sick Lacquers provides a "stick" with each polish for you to stir up the glitter in case it clumps. I haven't seen another indie brand do this and I thought it was pretty cute.

I Pink I Blue Up - A white base with fuchsia and blue glitter, there's hexes, bar, and circle glitter in different sizes. I started off with a white base and then applied 2 coats of I Pink I Blue Up over top. I stirred the polish with the stick they provided before applying because most of the glitter was stuck at the bottom, it really helped bring the glitter up and made it apply nice and evenly.

Star Spangled Glamour - A clear base with red, white and blue glitter in various sizes. First off I love the name of this polish, so cute. I'm Canadian, so I typically wouldn't have a 4th Of July polish, but I actually think this polish is totally wearable for us non-Americans. I chose to swatch 1 coat over a grey base and it applied very evenly.

Overall I'm very happy with my experience with Sick Lacquers, especially the amazing customer service I received. They assured me they will be fixing the issue with the bottles so no one else will have this kind of issue.

Please check out Sick Lacquers shop, you can find these polishes and many more for only $7!

Fandom Cosmetics Swatches and Review

Hey lovelies!
Today I have a review of an indie brand that some of you may not know about, but I'm so excited about, Fandom Cosmetics! I love what inspires this brand, because I am pretty nerdy about certain things and to see nail polish based on stuff that I'm a huge fan of makes me excited (especially that GOT Collection!!!).
Annie was kind enough to send me 3 bottles from 3 different collections, and I'm so excited to show them to you.

Ride Or Die - From the Fast And Furious Collection, and inspired by Dom, it is a clear base with maroon, black, white and silver glitter in different sizes. I applied 1 coat over a gray base so you could really see the beauty in this glitter polish. It applied really nice, I got a good amount of glitter on the polish and it smoothed out pretty evenly.

Dead Man - From the Sherlock Collection, inspired by the episode "The Blind Banker", it's a yellow base that's packed with black glitter. I used 3 very thin coats for this, it applied very well and evenly. I suggest making sure it's dry between coats, because I failed to do so lol.

Sleeping Warrior - From the Once Upon A Time Collection, inspired by the relationship between Mulan and Aurora, it's a clear base with holo silver, holo candy apple red hexes, black circles, violet glitter and gold holo dust. This polish is just stunning, I couldn't get over how insanely pretty it is. I used 1 coat over a pink base. It applied beautifully, I could barely keep my eyes off all the pretty holo glitter!

If you're a huge fan girl (or boy) then I'm sure you will find something from Fandom Cosmetics, and even if you aren't a fan girl the polish definitely doesn't disappoint! I can't wait to get my hands on the GOT Collection, True Blood and Avengers!

Fandom Cosmetics bottles are $8.50 and you can purchase them on Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/FandomCosmetics

Candy Lacquer - Bunny Dreams II

Hey everyone!

Today I have a swatch of a gorgeous polish from Candy Lacquer. This was a polish that I knew I had to have the moment I saw it, and that's not because it's a beautiful polish (which it is), it's because of the name.
As you all know I'm a huge bunny lover, I have a holland lop named Peanut and I had a holland lop/lionhead mix Waffles (RIP), so I couldn't resist buying a polish called Bunny Dreams.
I honestly find myself buying polish all of the time just because of the name, I'm sure if there was a polish named Lindsay I would buy it too lol.

Enough rambling, lets get to the polish!
Bunny Dreams II is a clear base that's packed with an insane amount of glitter (like all Candy Lacquer polishes). There are tons of different colors, shapes and sizes of glitter in this including stars, moons, hearts, and tons of holo glitter.

I'm in LOVE with this polish, and any polish I get from Candy Lacquer. The glitter is insanely unique, no one makes a glitter top coat like Candy Lacquer.
You can find this polish and many more on Candy Lacquers shop for $8.50 a piece.

Thanks! xox

Starfish Nail Art

 Hey!
Well I have been a slacker on my blog, and a slacker for nail art lately, so I have some starfish nails today for you all. Since it's not officially Summer I decided it was a perfect time to try something new.
For this I used: China Glaze - Nomadic In Nude (base), China Glaze - Fairy Dust (Over the base to give it the glittering sand effect), China Glaze - Make Some Noise (Starfish), and Color Club - In Theory (dots in starfish).

These were really easy to do, and I think they look pretty cute. They're definitely not my best work, but I don't mind.. at least I tried something different!

I can't believe how fast June has flown by? I just realized my Birthday is in less than a month which means I will be 25 soon.. ugh!

Thanks for reading, and enjoy your Sunday everyone!

Matte Dots!

Hey lovelies!
Today I have nail art that was inspired by Pinterest (I can't seem to find the picture).
For this I used: Color Club - Abyss, China Glaze - White On White, and China Glaze - Liquid Leather with a matte top coat over all of it.

I had a little bit of smudging when I put the matte top coat on, but other than that I love it!

I also want to thank all of my followers, I can`t believe I`m at over 800 followers now, you`re all so amazing so thank you!

NCLA Nail Wrap - Sawdust

Hey lovelies!
A few weeks ago I showed you a review on NCLA Nail Wraps - Stephanies Galaxy, and today I have the second set that I received from Nail Polish Canada.
I was a little hesitant on using them again because I did have some trouble peeling them off, but I tried them anyways.

These ones went on a little easier than last time, I didn't have as many problems. I also think I liked these ones a bit more, the design was funky and something I wouldn't normally be able to do.
I was careful and made sure I had a good base coat on again so I didn't loose a layer of nails, thank god.

You can purchase this design and many more at Nail Polish Canada for $16 a piece.

Thanks!

Hey loves!
I have been a slacker on posting my Vacation pictures because I've been sick ever since I got home. If any of you follow me on Instagram then you know that I wore Candy Lacquer - Sugar Skulls for vacation, and I loved it!

On Tuesday it was my 3 year anniversary with my fiance, and we went away to Niagara Falls, Ontario! I had a really fun time, I took a lot of pictures, most which I won't post because they would bore you lol, but here's 2!

First is a picture of me and my man in front of the falls. On the left you can see the American Falls, and on the right there's the Canadian Falls. :)

And of course as a nail blogger I had to take a picture of my nails in front of the falls lol!

Thanks for reading everyone, I hope you're all having an amazing weekend! xox

Rainbow Honey - The Summer Of 199X Swatches and Review

Hey loves, I'm back from Vacation (I will have a Vacation post for you tomorrow)!
I have an exciting post for you today, some swatches and review of The Summer Of 199X collection by Rainbow Honey.
This collection features 10 amazing polishes inspired by the 1995 SNES game Earthbound.

"Another video game that holds a special place in my heart! I wanted this collection to bring me back into the game, and I think each new lacquer takes me to a special moment or reminds me of a certain boss that resulted in one too many Game Over's... Part I is made up of 5 new glitterbombs bursting with shimmer and color - they all layer to opacity but can be used over other colors as well. Part II is 3 new shimmer-dusted cremes and 2 new glitter toppers that give each creme a bold or sweet look. I am so excited to add these all to our lineup!" - Dee

The 3 polishes I will be reviewing are from Part I of The Summer Of 199X Collection, they're all insanely gorgeous glitterbombs!

Pink Cloud - "A hot pink jelly with holographic glitters and iridescent shimmer - perfect to meditate on and Carrot Key not included." This is an insanely gorgeous pink jelly, it covered perfectly in 2 coats. I couldn't get over how much glitter in this, it's definitely a glitterbomb like Dee said.

The Kraken - "A marine jelly with blue and green glow filled with glitters, shimmer and the sea monsters own holographic Crashing Boom Bang!" This reminds me of a mermaid or something, it's definitely a marine color. I love this, again it covered perfectly in 2 coats.

Lumine Hall - "A dark indigo jelly glistening with the iridescent glitters and shimmers of your deepest thoughts..." This is such a stunning color, it looks navy in some lights and then in the sun it looks almost purple. Perfect coverage in 2 coats.

I'm very impressed with this collection, with 10 polishes there's bound to be one that suits everyone. I can't wait to try more of these, every Rainbow Honey polish I've tried I've loved!

The complete collection will be $90 (full size), and $40 (mini-size).
Full size bottles are $10 each.
The collection will launch on June 21, but today only for 24 hours Rainbow Honey is offering a pre-sale to all Rainbow Honey customers!

Guest Blogger Day 3: Q from Squeaky Nails

Hey loves!
Today I am in Niagara Falls with my babe for our 3 year anniversary so Q from Squeaky Nails is here for a guest post. Enjoy!
---

Hi!
Q here, from www.squeakynails.com :) I always like reading guest posts on blogs, so thank you Lindsay for letting me post here, and I hope you have a great holiday!
Now let me start off by saying I might have a giant slight obsession with grey polish. I would happily just wear grey on my nails, but that would probably result in a pretty boring blog. When I recently got a bottle of OPI's Polka.com... I just couldn't resist, and decided to layer it over one of my favourite grey crème polishes. I love this colour combination!

This is Catrice - Ashley with OPI - Polka.com dabbed on the tips of my nails.

Have a nice day!

Guest Blogger Day 2: Jas from Jas's Blingtastic Nails

Hey lovelies!
Today I will be heading out to Niagara Falls with my man to celebrate our 3 year anniversary, I'll be sure to have lots of pictures for you when I'm back, so I have Jas from Jas's Blingtastic Nails here for a Guest Post!
This post is pretty picture heavy, but it's definitely worth it!
----
Hello everyone. I'm Jas from Jas's Blingtastic Nails and today I am doing a guest post for you on Nailtopia, thanks so much Lindsay for the opportunity! Today I have for you two polishes from the Russian company Dance Legend and I am using one of them to making my own polish decals. It's easy and a fun way to get designs on your nails, especially if you aren't into stamping. Here is the final result:

For this look I used Dance Legend Termo Trio No 3, which is a tri-color changing thermal polish. I only needed one coat over a base coat and then added a top coat which didn't affect the color change. On my ring finger I used 2 coats of Dance Legend T-1000 as a base.
The cute little kitty on my ring finger? Well that I did using a kitty shaped hole punch using the dried polish of Dance Legend Termo Trio No 3. So kitty does a color change too! One of the fabulous Aussie Nails girls who figured out the nail polish hole punch technique has made a tutorial which you can find here and the best thing is, you can use any polish :)

Dance Legend Termo Trio No3. As you can see on the lid, it goes dark purple when cold, light purple when warm and grey when hot. I put 2 coats on baking paper and let it dry for at least 3 hours before hole punching the kitten shape. I then place the nail polish kitten on my ring finger and top coated the whole thing :)

Warm nail beds, cold tips :) Kitty has warm ears too!
Dance Legend T-1000 on my ring finger is actually holographic which isn't great in lightbox.
As my hands got warmer there was a further color change. I have hot nail beds, warm tips heading towards cool here.
Nearly hot all over!
Back to cooler tips, warmer nail beds and the a cute kitty!

What do you think of the thermal polish and the home made decal? I really like the combo :) I purchased my kitten hole punch from a craft store and they had many, many other designs. So you really are only limited by your own imagination. I purchased my Dance Legend polish directly from Dance Legend which is Russian based, and postage
can take a little longer than most, but their range of polish is pretty fun and unique in colors.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed the post!

xoxo

Guest Blogger Day 1: Aneela from Rise And Shine Beauty

Hey my lovelies!
Today is my first day of my 3 days of guest posts, this one is coming from the lovely Aneela!
----
Hi, this is Aneela from RiseAndShineBeauty.blogspot.com. I met Lindsay through Twitter and she's such a sweet, lovely, and helpful person! I'm so excited to be guest-posting for her!
For this mani I tried a jelly sandwich for the first time. I applied one coat of Creme de Mint from the new L'Oreal Miss Candy Collection, one coat of China Glaze Atlantis, and then another coat of Creme de Mint. By itself Atlantis is much more teal, so I think it's cool to see this minty green spin on it! I finished with one coat of Poshe base coat and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat.

Thank you for inviting me to guest post, Lindsay, and have a lovely vacation! xoxo

China Glaze Texture - Of Coarse and Itty, Bitty and Gritty

Hey lovelies!
The other day I was saying on Facebook that I didn't own any textured polishes, then on Friday I went out shopping and came across these ones from China Glaze. I never read reviews so I wasn't sure if they were good, but the colors looked pretty so I decided to grab 2.

Of Coarse - Beautiful creamy blue with an amazing textured finish. I used 2 coats for this, just to be safe, and I loved it. I felt like I couldn't stop staring at my nails, the effect was so pretty and the color was perfect.

Itty, Bitty and Gritty - This is a beautiful creamy coral with a textured effect. Now, I had some difficulty with this one, the textured effect isn't quite as nice as Of Coarse and I swatched this 3 times to see if it would change, it didn't. Also, my camera hates corals so the photograph isn't the best.

Next time I want to try Zoya Pixie Dust polishes, I hear they're amazing and I'm dying to get my hands on them!

As of tomorrow there will be 3 days of Guest Blogger posts, so enjoy posts from Bloggers that maybe you didn't know about before! :)

Thanks for reading! xox
