My first attempt at a fishtail mani!

Hey lovelies!
I have wanted to do a fishtail mani for awhile but I couldn't seem to get it right so I just ended up giving up. Then a few days ago I watched Chalkboard Nails tutorial video and decided it was time to try again, she made it so much easier to do.

For this I used: Color Club - I Believe In Amour, China Glaze - Spontaneous, and OPI DS - Radiance.

Obviously it's not perfect, but I still love it! I can't wait to try this with different colors, and hopefully get better at this design.

Also, I'm 3 followers away from 500 which means I'm 3 followers away from my next giveaway! Here's a hint of what's in store for my giveaway... Color Club, Barielle, Orly!
Are you excited? I sure am.

Essie Summer 2012 Mini Collection

Hey everyone!
The other day I was at Winners and I found a set of 4 mini polishes from the Essie Summer 2012 collection, I loved the colors so of course I had to buy it. I can never seem to justify buying Essie polishes because I can't find a place where they are less than $10 a bottle, and I hate how expensive that is. Thankfully I got this set for around $12 so that's not too bad for 4 mini's.

Off The Shoulder. A pink cream, very nice. It seems to photograph a lot brighter than it really is, but it's such a gorgeous color. I'm not a fan of pinks but lately I've been loving them. The formula was good, only 2 coats for full coverage.

Bikini So Teeny. A light blue cream. This polish is very unique, but also very hard to photograph, it's bright and pale all at the same time. The formula was okay, kind of thin, and I needed 3 coats for full coverage.

Fear or Desire. A bright orange cream. The formula was good on this, it just seemed to dry a lot darker then it looked in the bottle, oh well. I only needed 2 coats for full coverage.

Mojito Madness. A green cream, not quite a pastel and not quite a bright polish. This was one of my favorites, it's such a unique shade of green! The formula was really good for this one, it covered perfectly in 2 coats.

I'm very happy with this set, I love it! I didn't have a problem with any of the polishes, and I was pleasantly surprised since I don't own a lot of Essie.

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend, thanks for reading!

Essence - Where Is The Party?

Hey everyone!
Today I have a swatch of a polish from Essence, I got this awhile but completely forgot about it until I cleaned out my polish drawers yesterday lol.
Where Is The Party? A Purple/Green duochrome. The formula was okay, I had no problems with it. The only major downside was that I hate when you can see brush strokes, and you could see them with this.

I didn't mind this polish, it's not something I would normally like but I thought it was okay.
I'm really working hard on figuring out this camera, I think I've got it for the most part!

I hope you're all having a wonderful day, thanks for reading!

China Glaze - Custom Kicks

Hey!
Today I have a polish that I bought awhile, but it is amazing and has quickly become one of my favorites.
Custom Kicks. A teal with beautiful gold shimmer! The formula was great, I had no problems. It could easily cover in 1 coat, but I used 2 just to be sure. I should add that this color is very hard to photograph, the first picture is the most accurate even though you can't really see the gold shimmer.

If you don't already own this polish you should, it's such a stunner. I have worn this out so many times and I always get tons of compliments on it.

I'm really trying to make my pictures the best I can, this camera is just driving me crazy lol.

I hope you all have an amazing day, thanks for reading!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Hey everyone!
Today's my birthday! I am so excited for my birthday this year, and I don't even know why!
I am 24 today (I can't believe it), so in honour of that I did some fun nails to celebrate!

I went with a cute and simple balloon design using some of my favorite colors, and glitter of course!
The colors used are all Color Club: Base - Who Are You Wearing?, Glitter - Wish Upon A Rockstar, Balloons - Poptastic & Mrs. Robinson.

I love the way this turned out, all of it came together much better than I expected it to! The balloons were done freehanded of course, and I just applied the glitter around when I was done.
Check out cutepolish for a tutorial on how to do balloons.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have an amazing day.. I know I will!

Color Club, Leopard Print, and Holo Glitter!

Hey lovelies!
Lately I have been trying to figure out how to edit my blog layout and customize certain details I really wanted, and as you can see some things have changed. I put all of my labels into a drop down menu, and yesterday I added a link to my instagram so you guys can follow me on there as well now.

Back to the nails, today I have some super fun nail art combining my love for holo glitter, leopard print and Color Club! All of the polishes I used are Color Club and they are: Base - Magic Attraction, and spots - Mrs. Robinson, and Warhol.

I am loving this nails so much, but that was bound to happen since it has all my favorite things in one lol.
I also get a lot of questions about my leopard print mani's, I'm debating on showing a tutorial.. would anyone be interested in that?

My giveaway closes at midnight, so don't forget to enter! I will pick a winner in a few days, I will be really busy this weekend.

I hope you all have a great Friday, thanks for reading!

Neon Chevron Tips inspired by Drinkcitra!

Hey lovelies!
Today I have a manicure inspired by my friend Traci over at Drinkcitra. On Friday she posted her nails and I fell in love with them (but I love everything she does), I knew I had to do something similar.
Here's a link to her nails - Drinkcitra - Chevron Tips.

I used: Base - Barielle - U-Concrete-Me, Chevron - Color Club Nail Art Stripers (no names)

.
My camera battery died and I only managed to get one decent picture, oops lol. This was also a bit messy, not my greatest work, I should have used tape to make the lines straighter, but I'll remember that for next time.

Thanks again for the inspiration Traci! :)

I hope you're all having an amazing day, thanks for reading!

Color Club Take Wing Collection

Hey lovelies!
Today I have swatches of the Color Club Take Wing Collection.
Lets get straight to it!

Metamorphosis. A teal base with blue shimmer. This has a nice duochrome in the bottle, but was harder to see on the nails.

Fly With Me. A green base with gold and green shimmer. This reminded me of China Glaze - Zombie Zest, not a color I would normally like.. but it's pretty!

Wing Fling. A bright pink jelly base with pink and purple shimmer. I just love this color, it's such a gorgeous shade of pink.

Sparkle and Soar. An orange base with orange and yellow shimmer. I can't believe it, this is an orange I actually really like!

Sky High. A blue base with metallic silvery/blue/purple shimmer. This polish is just stunning. I'm such a sucker for blue, and I absolutely love this one.

Daisy Does It. A yellow base with yellow/gold shimmer. I think I like this polish, I'm not sure though. It's such an odd shade of yellow.

I love all of these, they are so pretty and unique. I'm a huge fan of Color Club though, and I don't think there's a collection I own that I don't love.

Purple gradient polka-dots

Hey everyone!
Today I have some simple nail art for you. I haven't felt too inspired, probably because I've spent all of my time testing out birthday nail designs, so I went with something simple but cute.
The colors I used are; Base: Color Club - Who Are You Wearing?, Dots (cuticle to tips): OPI - Planks A Lot, Barielle - Grape Escape, NOPI - The Grape Debate and CG - Liquid Leather.

I liked how it looked until I saw the pictures. Sadly you can't really tell the different between the darkest purple and the black, even though there is a huge different in person. Oh well, at least I know how cute it was lol.

I've recently gained some followers, so I wanted to say thank you to all of you for following me and giving me so much love (this includes all of my longtime followers)!

I hope you're all having a lovely Tuesday, thanks for reading! xox

PS. 11 days till my Birthday (I'm getting so old), which means 11 days left to enter my giveaway!

Julep - Helena

Hey lovelies!
A few months ago my amazing swap buddy Tory sent me some great nail mail which included 2 bottles of Julep polish (along with Julep cuticle oil). I was really excited to try them, especially this color, since I had never bought Julep polish before (but believe me I wish I got Julep Maven boxes!).

Here's a swatch of Helena. A vibrant fuchsia with a matte finish (I have SV on in these). I used 2 coats and it covered perfectly. The first picture is in direct sunlight, the second is in a dark shady spot in my room lol.

My biggest problem with Julep is the price, it's not worth it to spend the $14 on a bottle you might as well spend $20 and get the Julep Maven box! Oh well, I can't complain since I didn't buy this, and I don't get the boxes lol.

I'm spending my day working on some posts for you guys because I've been slacking (don't hate me)!

I hope you're having a nice Monday, thanks for reading! xox

HELP!

Okay, so tomorrow I have a job interview at Sephora, and I don't know what to do with my nails. I don't want anything to crazy, or too bright.. because I'm afraid it won't be professional. I also don't want nail art, I just don't know what to do..
