Nautical Nail Art!

Hey lovelies!
A few weeks ago my friend asked me to do some nautical nails, so I decided to try it out.
For this I used: China Glaze - White on White, China Glaze - First Mate, Essie - Like Me, and Gold striping tape.

I tried to make it unique, and not like every other nautical nails I've seen, I'm not really sure I succeeded, and I'm not even sure if I like them. My biggest problem was how silly the anchor looks, I didn't notice until I uploaded the pictures to my computer lol.
Oh well, at least I tried right?

I've been trying to come up with fun nails for Canada Day, but I'm having no luck since all I can think about are maple leafs.. and I did that last year. HELP!

I hope everyone has entered my giveaway for a chance to win my Frankens, only 23 days left!
Have a great day, and thanks for reading!

Color Club Backstage Pass Collection!

Hey everyone!
I have some more swatches for you all today! These are from the Color Club Backstage Pass Collection for Fall/Winter 2011. I got these polishes in November, and I still haven't swatched them.. how awful of me!

I'm warning you this post is going to be a tad picture heavy. All of the polishes were swatched over a base color I thought would compliment the glitter, as well as a black base.

First up is Platinum Record. A clear base with small and large silver hex glitter, and small round silver glitter.

Wish Upon A Rockstar. A clear base with multicolored glitter, most of it's small glitter but it has large lavender hex glitter as well.

It's A Hit. A clear base with large purple hex glitter. At first I wished there was more glitter, maybe different shapes, but after using it I just love it. Formula was great again.

Fame and Fortune. A magenta jelly base with an assortment of holographic shattered looking pieces, just like the ones you can find in Diamond Drops. I have to say, I hate this polish. The formula was so thick, and goopy.. I had a hard time with this.

Backstage Pass. A clear base with large silver and purple hex glitter, as well as smaller hex glitter. Again, this wasn't too hard to work with, I had a hard time getting some of the big hex pieces, but that's it.

Take The Stage. A clear base with gold glitter, and small holographic shards. The formula was good, my only problem was the holographic pieces were so hard to photograph.

Overall I love this collection, but I love everything by Color Club lol. My favorites are Platinum Record, and It's a hit.
Also, a few days ago I scored the last 4 polishes I was missing in the CC Take Wing Collection for.. $8!!

I hope you are having an amazing day and enjoyed my post, don't forget to enter my giveaway! Thanks for reading!

Leopard and Purples, my favorite!

Hey lovelies!
Today I have a cute freehand leopard print mani for you all. I did leopard print nails all the time, it was my go to design whenever I couldn't think of anything else, but it's been months since I've done it.

I really love it, I will always love leopard print nails! I'm really hating that pucci-licious looks blue in these pictures though, because it's such a stunning purple.

I hope you're all having a wonderful day, thanks for reading!

H&M Nail Polish Duo - City and Zoo

Hey lovelies!
The other day I was shopping with my man and I came across a duo pack of polish at H&M, I was surprised because I have seen polish from them on blogs but I've never seen it in stores around here. I obviously had to buy it!

First up is City. This is a gorgeous pink, almost a coral pink. The picture is exactly how it looks in person, I love it.

Zoo. Gorgeous pink holographic glitter. The instructions said to just apply this over, so I did. But I think if I used a few layers of this polish then I could wear it on it's own. I also had a bard time showing the holo in this, it's really gorgeous in person but didn't photograph well (it could be because the sun was hiding at the time).

Overall I really liked this cute duo, I'm not a pink person but these are an exception lol. I also saw another duo set, it was green but I didn't but it, but after using this one I think I need to go back lol. The price was really great too.. $5.95 for 2 polishes? Yes please!

I hope you're all having an amazing day, and don't forget about my giveaway ;) Thanks for reading!

Tie Dye Watercolor!

Hey everyone!
I decided to do a watercolor mani again, it's been awhile and they are so easy to do and look so petty! For this I used all of my colors from the China Glaze Summer Neons Collection (can you tell how much I love them all? lol).

When I went and uploaded the pictures to my computer I thought it really looked like tie dye (hence the blog title!), I wasn't going for that look but I won't complain lol.

I'm having some trouble with posting lately, It keeps making parts of my posts white, is anyone else having problems or just me? The other day I didn't notice till later on but my whole post was white, you couldn't read the words but you could see the pictures. Weird.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway!

I hope you're all having an amazing day, thanks for reading lovelies!

Striped neon skittles

Hey lovelies!
Today I have a nice skittle mani for you using neon colors of the rainbow. All of the polishes used for this rainbow effect are from the China Glaze Summer Neons Collection.

I love the look of the skittles effect, especially using these polishes (I'm loving this collection so much), but I decided it was missing something. A few weeks ago I got striping tape, I just never used it.. so I used it today!

I think the end result looks really amazing, I'm really happy with it. It's so fun, and bright!
I can't wait to try more designs with striping tape, any suggestions on what you want me to do?

Also, tomorrow I will be posting a giveaway. I'm so excited about it, so make sure you look out for it!

I hope you're all enjoying your day, and staying cool (this heat is ridiculous!). Thanks for reading!

Swatches of my very first Frankens!

Hey lovelies!
I have been wanting to Franken for awhile, but I never had the inspiration to do it, and I just kept putting it off. The other night I had nothing to do, and I decided why not try it? I had some ideas of a few colors I wish I had.
I came up with 3 Frankens, so here they are!

First up is Waves of Wonder. A bright blue polish with various glitters throughout, mostly silver gold and blue glitters. The formula on this was a little thick, I definitely have to thin it out. I had a hard time photographing this polish, especially in the first picture, but if you enlarge the second picture you can see it better.

Death By Cupcake. A grey purple with tons of multicoloured glitter and various sizes. The formula was really good on this one, I didn't have a problem with any of the glitter. I just wish you could see how purpley/grey this polish really is, it looks too lilac in pictures.. oh well!

Toxic Frosting. A lime green polish with tons of multicolored glitter of various sizes. The formula on this was good as well, no problems applying it. I used some of the same glitters as #2. I really wanted an insanely bright base color with a ton of colorful glitter, and I think I achieved exactly what I wanted!

So what do you all think? Just keep in mind this was my first time Frankening lol. The whole time I was doing them my fiance kept telling me I looked like a mad scientist lol!

*EDIT* I have been getting emails from some of you about wanting these polishes. I'm thinking of packaging them in mini bottles and sending them to some people if they are interested. It makes me feel so happy.

I hope you're all having a great day, thanks for reading! xox

China Glaze swatch spam!

Hey everyone!
Today I have a few swatches of some China Glaze polishes for you. I was looking through my collection and noticed I have so many polishes I haven't swatched for you guys, so I decided to start swatching!

First up, Lemon Fizz. A gorgeous pastel yellow, it's very opaque and only needed 2 coats for full coverage. This is easily my favorite pastel yellow!

Spontaneous. A medium purple, it's very vibrant but not over the top. It's a gorgeous color, and only needs 2 coats for full coverage.

Endurance. A dark fuchsia jelly with fuchsia shimmer throughout. I needed 3 coats for full coverage, but that's typical for a jelly polish.

Electric Beat. A beautiful blue, it`s almost like a periwinkle. I only needed 2 coats for full coverage.

Icicle. A typical silver polish, nothing too special about it. I only needed 2 coats for full coverage. Also, don`t mind the darkness of the pictures here, the clouds were coming out.

I hope you enjoyed all these swatches, I have some more polishes to swatch for you. What would you like to see first? More China Glaze, OPI, OPI DS, Revlon, NOPI, Barielle, Color Club? Let me know! :)

Also, today is my 2 year anniversary with my fiancĂ©! It's been an amazing 2 year anniversary, so I will end this post with a picture of him and I!

I hope you all have a great day! Thanks for reading! xox

Pink Ombre Mani!

Hey lovelies!
I wanted to try an ombre mani again, this time I decided to use pink!
For this I used (from thumb to pinky): China Glaze - White on White, OPI - I Think in Pink, Color Club - Poptastic, Color Club - Warhol, China Glaze - Endurance, and OPI - Servin' Up Sparkle over all nails.

I really wish I found a better polish to use on my pink, I didn't realize it until I uploaded the pictures though. I like ombre manis, they are so simple and fun!

Is anyone else excited for True Blood tonight? I'm hoping it's better than the beginning of last season lol.

I hope you're all having an amazing weekend, thanks for reading!

Sponging with neons!

Hey everyone!
I've been trying to find inspiration to do nail art, and it's so hard. My fiancĂ© and I were sitting around coming up with different ideas a few days ago, and this was one of them.
For this I used - China Glaze - Sunshine Pop, Love's a Beach, and Splish Splash.

This is so insanely easy to do, and the end result looks so fun. All you need is a few polishes for the design, a white for your base, and a cosmetic sponge! I plan on doing this with different colors, it's such an easy way to have cute fun nails.

As of today my fiance is on vacation for 9 days, so I might not be posting as much. I'm going to try and do a few things and schedule them for you guys, but I really am looking forward to some quality time with him.

Thanks for reading, I hope you're having an amazing day!

GlitterDaze - Flower Girl

Hey lovelies!
You all saw my wonderful nail mail the other day, and I've been having such a hard time deciding what to use from all those polishes! Today I went with GlitterDaze - Flower Girl, this polish is an almost sheer red base packed with tons of glitter, the glitter is various colors with so many different shapes to them.

I wasn't sure what color base to use with this polish so I went with your typical black, I wanted to make sure you could see all the colors of glitter. This polish is really unique, you don't see many polishes with cute flower glitter. I love this, but I do have to say it was a pain trying to get the flower glitter out of the bottle. I kept on sticking the brush in and digging around trying to find the flowers, because obviously I had to show them on my nails. I won't let that issue affect how much I adore this polish. You can buy GlitterDaze polish on etsy!

I'm currently swatching my OPI DS polishes for you guys, so look out for that soon!

I hope you're all having a great day, thanks for reading!
