Apologies, I will be back after the Holidays.

I told you all I would try to get some nail art for you in the next few days, but I will not have a chance to do that.  Things are so busy with me with the Holidays, and people at work are sick so I will be working everyday until Christmas, and then trying to finish my Christmas shopping.
I will be off on the 27th, and I will try to get a ton of posts for you guys.
Again, I am so sorry everyone.

Happy Holidays! xox

Holiday Polka-Dots

I'm still sick so I had to go looking through my computer for old pictures to use today, thankfully I came across something festive!
Sadly, I only had 1 usable picture of this.. oh well.

I plan on doing some Holiday themed nails in the next few days, any suggestions on what you'd like to see?

Glitzology - Mrs.Grinch

Hey lovelies!
I have spent the last 5 days with a horrible cold, I hate being sick right near Christmas!
Today I have a swatch of Glitzology's Mrs.Grinch, it has a light green glitter base with dark green squares, red squares and bars, iridescent glitter and green micro shimmer.

This is a very pretty holiday polish, I'm loving how festive it is.

I still can't believe Christmas is less than a week away!

Glitzology - Island Of Misfit Toys

Hey lovelies!
I recently came across the indie brand Glitzology, and I knew I had to buy some of her gorgeous polishes. I managed to get a few during a sale where they were $5.
Of course I had to start off by showing you my favourite polish that I bought, Island Of Misfit Toys. This polish is part of her Holiday Collection, it has a silver/white shimmer base with tons of bright coloured glitter in various sizes, hexes, squares, in blues, green, red, yellow purple. This applied nicely, I used 2 coats to get full coverage.

I can't get over how much I love this polish, it's the perfect combination of glitter.
You can purchase this polish, and others on Glitzology's Etsy page for $8.50 a bottle.

Essie - A Crewed Interest

I know I suck at posting lately, but I've been so busy with work that I haven't even had time to paint my nails (I'm an awful blogger). I decided to go through my picture albums and found some swatches I haven't used yet.
So today I have a swatch of Essie - A Crewed Interest, it's a gorgeous pastel peach color.

I'm not usually a fan of orangey polishes, but this one is stunning. I know pastels are more for Spring, but I had to show you this gorgeous polish.

Trimming The Tree

Today I have week 3 of Nail Polish Canada's Holiday Nail Art Challenge which is Trimming The Tree! I pretty much knew exactly what I wanted to do for this challenge which made it easier.
For this I used (a lot of colors): Color Club - Ho-Ho-Holly, China Glaze - Winter Holly, China Glaze - With Love, China Glaze - Icicle, China Glaze - Jingle Bells, Kleancolor - Grand Finale, China Glaze - Glistening Snow, and China Glaze - I'm Not Lion

Now onto the pretty nails. I wanted to go with a close up of the tree to showcase the ornaments, tinsel, bows and of course the tree topper (my thumb).

My thumb is the top of the tree with a pretty star.
I wanted you to see everything better so I took a picture out of the sunlight.

Overall I love this mani, I even wore it for the day and got so many compliments.

China Glaze - It's A Trap-eze

I'm sure we have all seen a million swatches of It's A Trap-Eze by now, but I couldn't resist buying this gorgeous polish. I'm going to get straight to the swatches because I love it so much.

This polish doesn't disappoint, it's amazing. Usually this would be the kind of polish you would only see in an indie brands collection, so it's great to see big name brands coming out with these polishes.
If you're going to buy one polish from the Cirque Du Soleil Collection this should be it!

What's your favourite polish in the Cirque Du Soleil Collection?

China Glaze - Whirled Away

Hey lovelies!
Today I have a swatch of China Glaze - Whirled Away, from the Cirque Du Soleil Collection. I have heard a lot of bad things about this polish, so I was very unsure of whether to buy it or not. As you can tell, I bought it any ways and gave it a shot.

This polish wasn't as bad as everyone said, you just need to dab the glitter on, it's the only way it works. My only other problem was that there was so much clear base in it, which was annoying. Overall I think it looks pretty though!

Candeo Colors - Winter 2012 Swatches and Review

I was recently contacted by Candeo Colors to review some colours in the Winter 2012 collection. I was super excited to do this, Candeo Colors makes some insanely gorgeous polishes!

Smores, a white base with a mixture of small and medium brown hex glitter, black squares, large white hex glitter and small gold holo glitter. This is such a gorgeous combo of glitter, it definitely screams Smores to me. I used 1 coat over a nude base and it covered beautifully, I had no problems with the glitter in this polish. I think this polish would look amazing over just about any color.

Snowbird, a clear base with a mixture of matte blue hexes in various sizes, small holo lime glitter, and small and medium gold holo hex glitter. I used 1 coat over a light blue base (so the colors popped), and I think it looks gorgeous.

Fallen, a clear base with a mix of small silver holo glitter, small and large white hex glitter and gorgeous iridescent hex glitters. This was inspired by the look of freshly fallen snow, and I think it perfectly captures that. I used 1 coat over a deep blue base. Again, this could be used over any color base and it would look stunning.

Sweet Sierra, a clear base with matte purple hex and square glitter, small metallic purple hex glitter, small silver holo hex glitter, medium pink hex glitter, and small iridescent hex glitters. Purple for Winter? I love it! I used 1 coat over a light purple base, which I think captures the color of the glitters perfectly.

I'm really pleased with this collection, they are all so unique and different compared to the typical Winter collections around. The formula on all of them were perfect, and I had no problems with the glitter distribution.
If I had to choose a favorite out of these it would have to be Smores and Sweet Sierra, but they are all stunning.

Candeo Colors polishes are all 3 free, and available for $9 a bottle USD.

You can purchase Candeo Colors here: Candeo Colors

Leopard Print Presents!

Hey lovelies!
Today I have my post for Week 2 of Nail Polish Canada's Holiday Nail Art Challenge. This week is all about gifts or presents, so I went with a leopard print present theme (since all I asked for for Christmas is leopard print stuff lol).

I like the way it turned out, and I love the Christmas themed leopard print.

I Love Nail Polish - Swatches and Review

I'm sure you've all heard of the gorgeous nail polish by I Love Nail Polish (especially with her amazing Black Friday deal). I was recently in contact with her and was given the opportunity to review some of her products.
First off I would like to say that these shipped super fast, even with me living in Canada, I don't think I've ever had a package from the states reach me that fast. These polishes even come in a cute little box, which I absolutely love!

Matthew Peri, a clear base with periwinkle, silver, and navy blue glitter, as well as some holo looking glitter. This applied pretty smoothly, it was kind of sticky and thick but still easy enough to work with. I only used one coat for this. I need to add that the name of this polish is so clever, I love it.

Fully Turqued, a clear base with white and black bar glitter, white and black glitter of various sizes, and turquoise square glitter. This applied really well, I had no problems at all.. all the glitter came out perfectly. This is definitely my favorite, I love black and white glitter and the turquoise just makes it even more amazing.

Her Highness, a clear base with pink, brown, and gold glitters of various sizes. Again, I had no problems with the application of this, all the glitters came out perfectly. I only used 1 coat for this one.

Blow Pop, a clear base with pink, purple, and blue glitters. The application was great, I only used 1 coat and the glitter came out nice and smooth. I also really liked this combo of glitters, I think it would work so well over just about any base color.

Overall I really enjoyed these polishes, they applied very nicely and the glitter combo's were just gorgeous.
Now I only had one problem with these polishes, and that was that the smell was pretty strong. I wasn't used to such a strong smelling polish, but it's still tolerable.

If you haven't already you need to get your hands on these polishes, they were created by such a sweet girl.

You can buy these polishes, and many more on her Etsy Shop: I Love Nail Polish

Snowflakes galore!

I don't know if you all have heard but Nail Polish Canada is having a Holiday Nail Art Challenge, and of course I had to join in!
For week 1 the theme is snow, so anything that is snow related! I tried a few designs out, but they weren't snow inspired, so I decided to do snowflakes using some gorgeous polishes.

For this I used: Color Club (I don't know the name), OPI DS - Radiance and I Love Nail Polish - Matthew Periwinkle.

These were so much fun to do, and I love the way they turned out with the gorgeous glitter from I Love Nail Polish.

Pretty and Polished - Jawbreaker

Today I'm showing you a swatch of Pretty and Polished - Jawbreaker. I'm sure we've all seen this a million times, and we have all fallen in love with Pretty and Polished's gorgeous polishes.. so here it is!

Jawbreaker - An off white base with blue micro glitter, blue hex glitter, red square glitter, blue square glitter, yellow square glitter, and some blue bar glitter. This polish covers perfectly in 2 coats, and the formula is pretty good. I had a hard time getting some of the glitter out to show, so I set my bottle upside down for a few minutes to make it easier.

Don't you just love it?
I have had this for awhile, but decided I needed a better swatch because my old one didn't do it justice.
I have a few more mini's by P&P to try out, so look for those soon!

China Glaze - Glistening Snow & Angel Wings

I have been wanting to get my hands on these since I saw some swatches earlier this month, thankfully I grabbed the last set at Winners the other day. These came in a set with both polishes and a cute little shot glass for $10.

First up is Glistening Snow, a silver holographic polish. This easily covers in 2 coats, and the consistency was great.

Angel Wings, a gold holographic polish. Again, it covered easily in 2 coats and the consistency was good.

Overall I loved both of these polishes, but who doesn't love a gorgeous holo?

I'm An Artist

I recently showed you all some nail mail I got for Halloween from a secret swap I took part of on Elfster. My nail mail included this gorgeous polish made from Laura "brummingbird".

This is I'm An Artist over China Glaze - Secret Peri-Winkle. This polish is a clear base with black and white bar glitter, and small hexes.

I love this polish, I didn't own a black and white glitter polish yet so I was super excited to get this. The only problem was that this polish leaked during shipping, which caused the glitter to be a bit clumpy and I had a hard time getting the bottle open.

Are you all still loving the black and white glitter trend?

Color Club - Winter Affair Collection

Hey everyone!
As everyone knows I am obsessed with Color Club polishes, and last week I ended up finding the Winter Affair Collection. There are 2 versions of this collection, one from Sally's Beauty (scented) and then the one I have which is sold everywhere else.
Lets get right to it!

All of the polishes will also have a swatch of Snow-Flakes over them.
Snow-Flakes - A flakie top coat that's a dupe for Nubar 2010, and countless other flakie polishes.

Berry And Bright. A pink toned red foily shimmer. I'm usually not a huge fan of reds but this one is stunning! I only needed 2 coats for full coverage, but I'm sure I could have got away with just one coat. This polish screams Christmas to me, and I love that.

Glitter Wonderland. A purple shimmer foil with blue and fuchsia microglitter throughout. This polish is breathtaking, I'm obsessed (but I love anything purple)! I used 2 coats for full coverage.

Ho-Ho-Holly. A green foil with a ton of gold shimmer throughout. This color is very unique, and I love that I don't have anything really like it. I needed 2 coats again for full coverage. This isn't really a typical green for Christmas, which makes me like it even more lol.

Winter Affair. A wine colored polish, somewhere between a red and a purple, maybe berry? There's also a ton of different sparkles in this polish. I only needed 2 coats for full coverage. This polish was very hard to photograph.

Gift Of Sparkle. A purple glitter with microglitter that's silver and holographic. I needed 2 coats for full coverage. I could just stare at this for hours, especially once I put Snow-Flakes on it.

This Collection is a definite winner for me, I love them all, especially Gift Of Sparkle. I'm glad I found this set , if you don't have this you need to find it.. they are all so pretty, and the formula is great (as usual).
I found the set at my local Winners for $14.95
